Jill KemererJill Kemerer writes contemporary romance novels with love, humor and faith. A full time writer, she relies on coffee and chocolate to keep up with her kids’ busy schedules. She grew up in the country in Michigan and now reside in a picturesque little town in Ohio. Our family has moved a lot over the years, and we realized we don’t mind living near a city, but we don’t want to live in one! My husband and I were high school sweethearts, and we have a daughter in college and a son in high school.
Nature inspires me. We’re blessed to live near beautiful parks, and if the weather cooperates, I take long walks outside. Some of my best plot twists pop into my head on these walks. Love when that happens!
My books contain a blend of love, humor, and faith. I adore romance! And I can’t help it–life makes me laugh. But what really defines me is my faith. My Thoughts:
This is a sweet romance filled with lots of real life questions/worries/stress. This is the first book in her new Wyoming Cowboys series.  I am officially hooked and looking forward to the next book.  I must admit when I picked this book up I couldn't put it down until the last page was turned so for me it was a one sitting read.
This story is set in Sweet Dreams, Wyoming, but most of the story takes place on Rock Step Ranch.  As the story opens we meet Clint Romine heading to Rock Step Ranch for a job interview with the new ranch owner, Alexandra (Lexi) Harrington, who he attended high school with.  Lexi and Clint are both complicated characters, but they felt so real to me.  Lexi has recently and suddenly lost her father.  She is not only dealing with her grief, but she also has to figure out how to keep the ranch running, because she has her own thriving business in Denver that she needs to get back to.  Clint has had set backs in his life that has shaped him into the man he is.  5 years ago he lost his own ranch and the loss of his dream has changed him.
I was drawn into this sweet plot immediately.  For me it was a spectacular real! The author does a great job weaving words together to bring the plot and characters to life with her imagery.  The friendship between Clint and Lexi is conveyed in a very genuine way. The characters are complex and have real issues, but they are resolved realistically.  This story has elements of grief, trust, romantic tension, second chances, crisis of faith and love. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves a clean, feel good romance.

She has sold ninety-two books to date.
Margaret was the President for American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), an organization of over 2600 members. She was one of the founding members of the first ACFW local chapter, WIN in Oklahoma. Until she retired a few years ago, she was a teacher of students with special needs for twenty-seven years and volunteered with Special Olympics as a coach. She currently is on the Outreach committee at her church, working on several projects in her community as well as serving on her church’s vestry.
On a more personal note, she has been married for over forty years to Mike and has one son and four granddaughters. She treasures her time with her family and friends.

My Opinion:

Margaret Daley has written another heartwarming story that quickly pulled me in.  She takes her readers to the fictional town of Haven, Texas where we meet Nick McGarrett and newly arrived Darcy Hill.
Darcy Hill is an attorney in Louisiana where she practices family law.  She was adopted as an infant by two loving parents and has not really thought of the people who gave her life until a recent health scare.  She is on a quest to find her biological parents to obtain family medical information and this has led her to Haven.
Nick McGarrett is the owner of the Flying Eagle ranch and volunteers at the Culpepper ranch for boys.  He's an all around good guy, but he also has his demons like growing up in a less than desirable situation and time spent overseas in a war zone while serving in the army to coming home and finding out he's about to lose the ranch.  Any one of those situations could have changed a better man, but not Nick.  What haunts him most is something he has very little control over and that is a 10 year old boy.
This is a wonderful story with elements of hope, faith, forgiveness and love.  This is a sweet plot that flows effortlessly.  It brings plenty of southern charm and romantic tension.  The story also broaches tough issues that are resolved realistically.  Nick and Darcy are strong, well developed characters that easily weave their way into your heart from the first few pages.  This is a clean, feel good romance.  I would recommend this story to anyone.

Meet the Author:

jean c. gordon For Amazon bestselling inspirational and sweet romance author Jean C. Gordon, writing is a natural extension of her love of reading.  From that first day in first grade when she realized t-h-e was the word "the," she's been reading everything she can put her hands on.  A professional planner and financial writer, Jean is as at home writing retirement- and investment- planning advice as she is writing romance novels, but finds novels a lot more fun.
She and her college-sweetheart live in Upstate New York in a 170-year-old farm house situated on 112 acres.  While Jean creates stories, her family grows organic fruits and vegetable and tends the livestock de jour.
Although her writing and family don't leave her a lot of spare time, Jean likes to give back when she can.  She and her husband team-taught  a seventh-and-eighth grade Sunday school class for several years and currently serve on her church's Evangelism Committee.  She also shares her love of books with others by volunteering a the the church's Book Nook.

In Him we have redemption through His blood,
the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.
~Ephesians 1:7

My Thoughts:

What a powerful story!!
Jean Gordon quickly becomes a favorite author with her sweet, real to life stories.  This series touches me deeply.  It's about a family, the Donnelly's of course, who grew up in the small community of Schroon Lake.  The Donnelly brothers grew up with the stigma of having a father known as the town drunk who took off never to be heard from again.  Each brother chose their own path, but each must deal with the past before they can move on to a future.
This is Josh's story.  It's a story of friendship, second chances and forgiveness.
Josh is the middle brother and has always had a lot of ambition.  He works for GreenSpaces and is on the fast-tract to move up the corporate ladder.  He feels his life is settled. His best friend for the past couple of years has been Tessa Hamilton.
Tessa inherited the Majestic, a movie theater, located in Schroon Lake from her grandfather a few years ago.  She has had big dreams of renovating it into a dinner theater for years, but most thought she should just sell it and return to her job as a civil engineer.  Once she secured financing her next step was to begin construction, so she turns to her best friend, Josh, for assistance.
Just as things start coming together for both Josh and Tessa, Josh's father shows back up in town.  Old wounds and hidden secrets emerge.  This is a story of friendship, forgiveness, second chances and love. The first few pages drew me in quickly.  The plot line kept me turning the pages.  Jean Gordon takes on tough issues that are resolved realistically.  This is a book and series that I would recommend to anyone.

 My Thoughts:

New release from Rachel Dylan!
Rachel Dylan has quickly become a favorite author for me and I love anything she writes.   She always brings a great plot line that draws me in quickly and keeps me turning the pages.
Jessica Hughes lives in Miami, Florida and currently works for the Florida State Attorney's office.  She grew up in foster care and worked hard to get her education with one goal in mind, to prosecute criminals and seek justice for innocent victims.   She graduated 9 months ago and is currently working on the prosecution of Simon Hernandez, who is the son of a major crime boss. She was technically a junior prosecutor, but due to extenuating circumstances she was given the lead role.   One evening after leaving work late she was attacked while trying to reach her car and given a strong warning about walking away from the Hernandez case.
Zach Taylor, FBI Special Agent, was notified by the Miami police department of Jessica's attack because he was assigned to work on the ongoing investigation of the Hernandez family.  Zach was fresh out of Quantico so he had been working with a seasoned agent and this was every rookie's dream.  It was decided that with such a visible threat to Jessica that the FBI would provide her with the security needed to ensure her protection.  Suddenly the case takes on a new twist and suddenly the characters find things more complicated than they had imagined.
This is a wonderful suspense interlaced with a romance.
The story includes elements of suspense, romantic tension and faith.  The plot flows effortlessly with twists and turns that will quickly draw you in and keep you turning the pages.  With complex characters that are easy to love and an engaging plot line made for the best night of insomnia ever.  This is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves suspense.

I’m an author of inspirational romantic suspense. My debut release through Love Inspired Suspense entitled Forgotten Past is now available.
When I’m not dreaming up people in dangerous situations and writing them down, I’m also a mom, wife, grandmother, avid reader, a proud geek-girl.

Here's a video telling us about the book from Mary:

He gives power to those who are tired and worn out;
He offers strength to the weak.
~Isaiah 40:29

My Thoughts:

I loved this story.
It contains elements of mystery, suspense, romance and faith.
Faith McKenzie is alone except for her dog, Ollie. 2 years ago she was brutally attacked at her home in Austin, Texas. She thought being released from the hospital was scaring, but promising. With no memories from not only the attack, but also her life Faith arrives at Hope Island, Maine which is a small coastal island where she hopes to start a new life and maybe pull out some memories of her past. JT Wyatt developed Wyatt Securities after his wife was killed. He spends his days remodeling a old house and working with his partners. When a dog shows up at his house he immediately thinks of his new neighbor and goes over to return him where he witnesses her being attacked. His protective instincts kick in. Faith, rightly so, has trust issues. Every time she has moved, which has been a lot during the past two years, she is being followed and receives threats. Can she trust JT to be who and what he says he is? With a Cat. 3 hurricane heading for their island she needs someone to lean on. I loved the characters. The plot is fast paced and kept my attention. To me this was a spectacular read and I would recommend it to anyone.

The Firefighter Daddy

From Bachelor to Father

The Firefighter Daddy
Published March 22nd 2016
 by Love Inspired

Synopsis:

Firefighter Liam McGregory is used to staring down fivealarm fires—but becoming a father to his two little nieces has him sending out a call for help. When the girls return a lost pup to its beautiful owner, Liam thinks widow Sarah Blackburn is just the person he needs—or who the children need. He's promised to never marry again. ' Sarah takes his deal: she'll watch his kids and he'll watch her menagerie of pets—but the new father is off-limits. But two determined little matchmakers can be hard to resist when they need a mom to make one big happy family…

For the Lord is good;
His mercy everlasting,
And his truth endures all generations.
~Psalm 100:5

My Thoughts:

This is the first book in a new series that Margaret Daley is writing about singe dads and the support group they attend.  I must say after this book I am anxious to read the next books in the series.
I absolutely loved the cover.  I know for most people a dog is man's best friend, but at my house our cat rules so that's one of the reasons I liked the cover.  Also when I saw the little girls I really wanted to hear their story.
When I opened this book I was immediately drawn to Sarah and Liam. Both showed their strength of character immediately.  Sarah, although not being ready, returned home to Buffalo, Oklahoma to help her mother care for her aging grandmother.  She is still dealing with grief over the loss of her husband and the constant reminder of their lives together is very difficult for her to deal with.  Liam has moved from Dallas after the loss of his brother to take over guardianship of his small nieces.  Moving to a place where he basically has no friends and into a father role that he has no clue about.
Liam know immediately he needs help and turns to a support group at church for single dads.  For the past 6 months this group has developed into more than a support group for him, because he's also developed lasting friendships.  I like that for a bachelor even Liam knows that it's not easy being both mother and father to a child and sometimes impossible.  He loves the girls and is glad to step up and make a difference in their lives.
Sarah is a character that will grab you by the heart.  She was happily married to her high school sweetheart and expecting her first child when the accident robbed her of both.  In a state of almost debilitating grief she makes a choice to live, but in order to do that she needs to leave the place where all her memories, good and bad, are.
After leaving Buffalo her grief was much easily handled, but with her grandmother having health problems Sarah agrees to move back home, Buffalo, to help her mother out.  Everyday she is reminded of her loss and each day gets harder and harder.
I loved this story.
This is a sweet story with well integrated secondary characters. The author shows both the turmoil and raw/real emotions the engaging characters have.  This is a story that can evoke both laughter and tears.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a clean romance with a few twists and turns.

Mountain Cove #5

Mountain Cove:
In the Alaskan wilderness, love and danger collide.

Tailspin (Mountain Cove #5)
Publication: April 5th 2016
 by Love Inspired
5 Stars

Synopsis:

DIVING INTO DANGER

Nothing can stop Sylvie Masters from scuba diving to find her mother's downed plane—except possibly the hit man determined to keep the truth from surfacing. When brave bush pilot Will Pierson comes to her rescue, she knows she can still reach her goal, but she needs his help. Will wants answers about the crash, too, especially since his mother was the missing plane's pilot. He'll be the hero Sylvie needs, but can he ever trust her? Sylvie is shrouded in secrets that keep leading her back to Mountain Cove. Secrets someone will kill for. Will may protect her, yet no one can persuade her to end her search…not even a killer.

My Thoughts:

Elizabeth Goddard brings us the fifth suspenseful installment in the Mountain Cove series, Tailspin.  I anxiously awaited for this book as I knew it would be great.  The author has a way of writing a series where each story will stand alone. This series revolves around the small Alaskan town of Mountain Cove and the Warren family. This story is full of spine tingling suspense interlaced with a romance.

The two main characters are Sylvie Masters and Will Pierson.  Sylvie is a scuba diving instructor from Seattle with ties to Mountain Cove.  Will Pierson is a bush pilot from Mountain Cove.  Both have recently suffered a loss and want answers.  Sylvie heads out off the coast of Alaska in the area her mother's plane went down to try to find the crash site in hopes of finding the answers she's searching for when she is suddenly attacked Will on a return flight decides to detour and fly over the area where his mom's plane went down to see if he could find answers.  Both not knowing one another, but essentially searching for the same thing.
For me  the story is  fast paced and full of twists and turns that enhance the suspense elements.  Sylvie is a very likable character who I just wanted to give a hug and tell her to have faith because it was all going to work out.  I did understand her drive for answers and to some extent her fears, but what I really liked most about her was her strength of character.  Will feels drawn to Sylvie and to protect her.  I think this is instinctual for most men, but when you throw in the attraction the brings it up a notch.  Will is a lovable character.  Will's turmoil is very evident when he sees that the danger is closer than Sylvie wants to admit.
If you have been reading the series this book pulls the the series together, but if you haven't this is still a great stand alone suspense interlaced with a little romance.
There are elements of mystery, suspense, turmoil, and romance.
I would recommend this book to anyone.
