Brief Description:
Mountain Cove: In the Alaskan wilderness, love and danger collide.
Tracy Murray had thought she'd be safe disappearing in the wilds of Alaska after her testimony put away a gang leader. But the gang symbol tattooed on an attacker's arm means the clock has run out. She's been found—and she knows the killers won't let her escape alive again. She can't fight an entire gang alone—she needs help. But when she finds herself relying on widowed firefighter David Warren, a new struggle emerges. Fleeing Alaska and cutting all ties could be the only way to survive…but it would mean leaving her heart behind.
When this book arrived my first impression was "Wow!"
The beautiful cover only gives a hint as to the truly amazing story within. This is the third installment in the Mountain Cove series, but I think it's definitely a stand alone story.
Tracy Murray moved to Mountain Cove a couple of years ago in hopes of just disappearing and so far she has been successful.  She and her dog, Solomon, have lived a private life.  Solomon was a air-scent rescue dog and was in training for both cadaver and avalanche certification, but Solomon was much more than that to Tracy.  She had been running for so long that she was unsure how to stop, but was trying.
David Warren has been trying to move on with his life since the death of his wife, but some days seem harder than others.  He learned the best thing he could do was keep putting one foot in front of the other and rely on God's help.
One summer day Tracy decided to hike up to Keller Falls with Solomon, but an uneasy feeling crept upon her.  She when Solomon took off and barked an alert she knew something unexpected was pushing her forward.  Finding the hiker and that he was alive pushed her into action.  Luckily David was on the trail and heard Solomon's barks and knew something was up and headed in their direction.
I found Tracy a very endearing character.  She draws you into the story immediately.  Her courage shows in numerous ways as the story unfolds.  David is a character that you fall in love with immediately.
The characters find a way into your heart immediately and the storyline keeps you turning the pages.  The imagery will literally bring the story to life for the reader.  I recommend this book to anyone who loves a mystery, intrigue and a good, clean romance.
I was given this book by the author for a honest and unbiased opinion as stated above.
