My Thoughts:

Oh my, I loved this story!!
This is the second installment in Becky Wade's A Bradford Sisters Romance series and I believe this is my favorite so far, but then again I say that with every book. Even though this book is part of a series it's definitely a stand alone.
This captivating story has a sweet plot that immediately pulled me into the story and I didn't want to put it down until the last page was turned.  Hence, for me this was a one setting read.
In this story we meet Willow who is the oldest sister in the Bradford family and the one who has longed to be the perfect daughter. Willow made some decisions that she regrets and this has affected her life profoundly, especially her faith. She has come home to run the family bed and breakfast for her mom until the recently hired lodge manager arrives.  Willow believes this will give her some much needed rest from her modeling career, plus she will get to spend much needed time with her sisters and family.
Corbin has moved to Washington for surgery and rehab after an injury that puts his NFL career in jeopardy when he runs into Willow again.  We also get a rich backstory of how Corbin and Willow know each other and how it influences their lives when they are reunited.
Corbin's niece, Charlotte, is concerned about the mysterious disappearance of her great aunt, Josephine Blake, and enlists Willow's help.  Willow is forced to work with Corbin in helping Charlotte search for answers, but plans to only see Corbin when necessary. Corbin has plans to use this quest as a way to get close to Willow again and prove to her that he's not the same guy she met years ago.
This story shows elements of second chances, romantic tension, values, beliefs, mystery, crisis of faith and love.  This is a book I would recommend to anyone.

**I received this book from the publisher as part of their book bloggers program.  I was not required to write a positive review.  All thoughts an opinions are my own.

I also want to mention that Becky Wade has written a novella that introduces this series and it is wonderful.

Then Came You: A Bradford Sisters Novella by [Wade, Becky]A leather-bound journal. A single father. A woman in pursuit of freedom.

Garner Bradford, heir to the troubled Bradford Shipping empire, doesn't know much about babies. But he's going to have to learn fast because he's just become a single father to his newborn daughter. As he confesses through his journal entries, he's not entirely sure how to keep a newborn alive, whether or not he'll ever patch together his shattered heart, or how to forgive himself for his mistakes.

Career girl Kathleen Burke is wholly uninterested in settling down. She has big dreams, and none of them include Garner and his small hometown in Washington State. Yet she can't seem to get her handsome boss out of her head or her heart. There's something extraordinarily tempting about his beautifully sad green eyes. . . .

Told through journal entries, phone conversations, and letters, Then Came You is a unique, heart-stirring romance novella by acclaimed author Becky Wade.

Then Came You is available as a FREE e-book at Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Amazon Kindle, and Kobo. It's also available in print via Amazon and in audio via Audible.

A Bradford Sisters Romance

True to You

True to You (Bradford Sisters Romance #1)After a devastating heartbreak three years ago, genealogist and historical village owner Nora Bradford has decided that burying her nose in her work and her books is far safer than romance in the here and now.

Unlike Nora, former Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient John Lawson is a modern-day man, usually 100 percent focused on the present. But when he's diagnosed with an inherited condition, he's forced to dig into the secrets of his past and his adoption as an infant, enlisting Nora to help him uncover the identity of his birth mother.

The more time they spend together, the more this pair of opposites suspects they just might be a perfect match. However, John's already dating someone and Nora's not sure she's ready to trade her crushes on fictional heroes for the risks of a real relationship. Finding the answers they're seeking will test the limits of their identity, their faith, and their devotion to one another.

My Thoughts:

What a wonderful story!!
I was immediately intrigued by Nora.
She is the middle sister in the the Bradford household.  She has always been quiet and some what bookish.  She is the director of the Library on the Green Museum. While growing up she and her family had visited a historical village and she had been fascinated.  8 years ago her father had bought land and 3 historical buildings which they had decided to rent out in hopes of increasing tourism.  At her college graduation he gifted her with the village which she manages and has increased to 12 buildings now.  At present she has her eye on a Hartnett Chapel, which is perfection at it's best, but has been unable to convince the owner to sell.
  She is a historian and a genealogist, but the one thing she definitely knew she wasn't was the role of hostage in a mock training exercise.  She believed in emergency preparedness, but she should have thought this decision over before agreeing to her sister's suggestion.  Of course the one thing it did do was give her the first of many glimpses she was have of John Lawson.  {sigh}

John Lawson owns and runs Lawson Training Incorporated, but his history includes 6 years with the United States Navy SEALs where he was awarded the Medal of Honor.  He has had a book, Uncommon Courage, and movie released about his life.  John approaches Nora to enlist her help in doing some ancestry work in helping him find his birth mother.  As straightforward as everything sounds Nora knows that having a name is not always as easy as it sounds.  As they dig toward John's family history they find many roadblocks, but endeavor to knock them down.  Of course there's an attraction between John and Nora, but John has a girlfriend of many years plus he has a secret that he doesn't want revealed.
I loved both characters, plot and setting.  This story takes the reader on twists and turns never expected and leads to a bit of a mystery.  This plot actually tackles several tough issues.  The story has elements of forgiveness, mystery, and love.  This is the first book in Wade's new series and is great foundation for the next book which I am anxious to read.
**I received this book from the author via the publisher.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3 Incredible Love Stories

When you think of weddings what is your first thought?

Love, romance, commitment?

For most, yes, that is the first thing that comes to mind, but if you ask the bride of even her mother that's not always the first answer.  It's the details or behind the scenes that actually brings a wedding together.
This year has been a busy one for my family in the romance department.  I have had 3 nieces who got married and a nephew that is getting married this week.  Each wedding has been different, but filled with much joy.  As I spoke with each parent their greatest desire was that all the details were handled with precision so that the day would be enjoyed by not only the bride and groom, but also guests.
Yes, a lot more goes into planning a wedding than one would imagine.  The behind the scenes details are important.  I'm talking about the choosing a venue and working with the planner, the cake and flowers.
To Have and To Hold is a great collection of novellas from 3 wonderful authors, Betsy St.Amant, Katie Ganshert, and Becky Wade,  that take the reader behind the scenes and highlight not only the dedication, but the work involved in bringing a special day to the bride and groom.

To Have and to Hold: Three Autumn Love Stories
  Published August 30th
2016 by Zondervan
Book Description:
Love Takes the Cake by Betsy St. Amant

She’s known for her delicious cakes, but there’s no recipe for dealing with the new man in her life.
Charlotte Cantrell is always the baker; never the bride. When Will, a regular at Charlotte’s bakery, catches her attention, she can only hope that he is the reliable man this single mother has always hoped to find. The problem is that he’s regularly stopping in to buy cookies for another girl. But when Charlotte is hired to bake a host of wedding goodies for a difficult bride and finds out Will is the best man, she has the perfect opportunity to get to know him better—and find out how serious Will is about this other girl in his life.

The Perfect Arrangement by Katie Ganshert

Meeting Nate was truly an accident—but Amelia finds that he’s one of the few people she can count on.
Amelia Woods is a small-town wallflower and the proud owner of Forget-Me-Nots, a quaint flower shop. Despite her success in business, her love life has always been a bit lackluster. Until she spies on her ex-boyfriend’s wedding and ends up in an embarrassing fender-bender with handsome wedding guest, Nate Gallagher.
Meanwhile, Amelia’s younger brother, William, has proposed to his girlfriend. Amelia would be excited except she has evidence that the fiancée is not who she says she is. It seems Nate is the only one available for any advice-giving, and he’s good at it—and pretty fun to talk to, too.
As Amelia works to craft the perfect flower arrangements for other people—including a ninety-year-old “fairy godmother” named George—she begins to wonder if real love is better than the dream. And if it is, will Nate still be interested when he learns who she is?

Love in the Details by Becky Wade

She left him to save his future, but they’ve never gotten over each other.
When Josh returns to his hometown of Martinsburg, Texas, to help his best friend get married, he didn’t intend to run into church wedding coordinator—and ex-girlfriend—Holly. He can’t help but pine after the girl he never got over.
Holly broke up with Josh years ago in an attempt to ensure his future success. But she loved him then and still loves him now. As she helps him plan his best friend’s wedding, she can’t help but feel horrible for the pain she caused him. And even though she longs to be with Josh, she doesn’t feel worthy of his big-time lifestyle when she is more comfortable in her small town world. Will Josh and Holly be able to keep things as they are when their true feelings threaten to surface at every turn?

 My Thoughts:
What a wonderful collection of 3 novellas!!!
Zondervan had released  a fall collection of love stories that  each easily wove their way into my heart.  I met some unforgettable characters. Each were artistic and dedicated to their own profession.  I think one of the greatest common denominators among the characters was not only their ability to put on smile on someone's face, but also that they focused on each client as though they were the only client.  Each have a dream they are trying to fulfill, but at the same time hoping they would get a chance at romance and love.
In the first story we meet Charlotte Cantrell who is the baker and owner of The Doughknot. She is a single mom who doesn't want to let anyone close enough to hurt her again, but her attraction to a man who came every Tuesday evening might just leave her in knots before it's over.
In the second story we meet Amelia Woods the owner and designer of Forget-Me-Not Flower Shop.  Life had not turned out as she had expected.  This is almost like a Cinderella story.  Amelia's mother owned a flower shop where Amelia had helped and learned the art of the trade.  With her mother's death she thought the shop was all but lost to her, until she was able to buy it.  It's success was her greatest desire.  A happenstance meeting with a stranger involving a car wreck and the exchange of emails has Amelia looking for love in all the wrong places.
Last we meet Holly and Josh, who were high school sweethearts looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.  Holly makes a decision that will break both their hearts.  Now with Josh back in town to fulfill an obligation as best man and Holly the church wedding coordinator will they get another chance at love or will the past be too much to overcome?
These are three sweet romances that quickly pulled me in and kept me turning the pages.  Each plot is well thought and the characters are easy to love.
This is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves a good, clean love story.

My Thoughts:

The first thing I want to say about this book is that this is a very addicting series!!
Yep, that means I loved this story.

In Undeniably Yours we met Bo Porter who was the manager of Whispering Creek Ranch which is a thoroughbred racehorse farm located in Texas.
In Meant to Be Mine we met Ty Prorter who is a professional bull rider that traveled a lot.
In a Love Like Ours we met former marine Jake Porter who is a trainer at Whispering Creek.
In Her One and Only we will meet Dru Porter both the baby and only girl in the Porter family.  Dru grew up trying her best to keep up with her big brothers and I'm certain to some extent making herself a pest to the boys.  I think Dru has always had a need to prove to everyone she was as capable at anything as her brothers.  She is a former marine and national pistol shooting champion.  Currently she works for Sutton Securities as a protection agent or bodyguard, but she really hates that word.  She works for Anthony Sutton has been on desk duty due to an injury that occurred last year during an assignment.  The team she's a part of has a new assignment to protect NFL Dallas Mustang's player Gray Fowler after he received threatening letters.   Just one problem to this assignment, Gray is somewhat insulted for such a small woman to be his bodyguard, but the general manager, Brian Morris, insists.
Of course there's a lot more to Gray than being a big football star. He supports a lot of charities, but his favorite is Grace Street which is a non-profit that offers outreach programs for abused women and children.  He did not have an ideal childhood and I'm sure this has a great impact on why this charity appeals so much to him.  Now there's only 2 things that he likes about Dru, first her beauty and second it was entertaining to rile her.  Of course Dru's first thoughts when she met him were:

"He's trouble.  Of all the words in the English language, those were the first two that slid into her mind."
Of course she and her family were die hard Cowboys fans so that could also enter into the equation.  Dru is determined to keep Gray safe and find the stalker which will hopefully earn back the Anthony Sutton's trust after the disaster of last year.  Her brothers know her much better than she thinks and needless to say the Porter brothers always protect what is there's.  As the important factors surface and the threats escalate which draws Dru closer to Gray and an attraction develops that could put both of their lives at risk.  Dru sees that her presence is putting Gray in more danger and steps aside as his agent, but unknowingly continues to pursue the stalker.
This is a spectacular read!  It has elements of mystery, suspense, humor and romance.  The plot is steady and flows effortlessly.  It will pull the reader in and keep them turning the pages until the very end.  The complex and engaging characters show emotions that are raw and real and lead them to be endearing.  Of course the southern charm and romantic tension add so much to this story also. A perfect ending to this series.
Even though this story is part of a series, this book is definitely a stand alone story.  The author gives just enough background that reading the previous books is not necessary to read this book, but with that being said I would highly recommend reading them also because they are wonderful stories also.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery, suspense or a good, clean romance.
