I love reading a good suspenseful romance. I picked this book up off Amazon when I saw who the author was because I know she is an excellent writer and always brings a great story. I was not disappointed in this book at all.
Here's a little of what the book is about:
After a whirlwind romance, Taryn Young is preparing to board a plane at Houston International Airport, bound for a dream honeymoon, when a bomb decimates the terminal. Injured but still alive, she awakens to discover her husband is missing and they're both considered prime suspects in the attack. Further, the FBI is convinced her husband isn't who he appears to be.Agent Grayson Hall's number-one priority is to catch those responsible for the day's act of terror. All evidence is pointing to Taryn and her new husband. But his instinct tells him her pleas of innocence are genuine. Is her naivete just for show, or could she truly be another victim of a master scheme, possibly linked to the software she recently developed for her company? With both their lives and reputations on the line, and the media outcry for justice increasing with each passing minute, Taryn and Grayson have no choice but to trust one another . . . and pray they can uncover the truth before they become two more casualties.
Here are my thoughts:
I love it!! We are introduced to Taryn Young on one of the happiest days of her life , but within a few minutes it turns into one of the worst. Yesterday she married the man of her dreams, Francis Shepherd, and today as they were leaving on their honeymoon her life literally explodes on her. Can you imagine the confusion and terror she is experiencing? As the author weaves the words together you can almost feel the character vibrating with terror. I really like this character. What I love most about her is when she realizes that this is too big for her to handle she returns to her foundation which is the church and her faith. She is a young woman who has veered away from her faith as do a lot of people. They lose their focus, which is God, for one reason or another. She learns that the her problems are too big for one person and to obtain a measure of peace that she must lay her problems at God's feet and trust that he will lead and guide her in the direction to go. This is a wonderful story about a crisis of faith, trust, full of suspense and love. I would recommend it to anyone.
