Chapel Springs Romance #3

The Wishing Season (Chapel Springs, #3)
Publisher: Thomas Nelson

5 Stars

Denise Hunter brings us #3 in the Chapel Springs Romance series which is a contemporary romance that involves two characters that will tug on anyone's heart.
Here's a little description of the book:

She daydreams of whipping up sauces and souffles in her own restaurant. His heart is set on helping foster children. Both dreams are at stake. So are their hearts.
With grand plans to open her own bed & breakfast in Chapel Springs, PJ McKinley can't afford the most crucial part: the brick and mortar. But when the owner of a local historic home announces a contest and promises her property to the worthiest candidate, PJ makes a fervent wish and tosses her name into the hat.
Cole Evans is cool, confident, and successful, but he'll never forget his roots. He's thankful for how far he's come and knows his life could have turned out drastically different. If he can win the stately old mansion, he'll turn it into a home for children aging out of the foster system.
When the eccentric house owner narrows the entries down to only two applicants, she extends the contest, giving PJ and Cole one year to prove which one of them can make the best use of her beloved home. As the pair competes in close proximity, something deeper than rivalry sparks between PJ and Cole. And in this battle, they're likely to lose their hearts.

In this book we meet PJ McKinley and Cole Evans. Both are characters that you instantly love.  PJ is a beautiful, young woman who has made mistakes in her past that makes not only her, but also her family question her decisions.  PJ is the youngest in her family which means her family is always strived to protect her, but there comes a point when the "baby" wants to try her wings out.  Some of her decisions were great and some came with heartache.  She has a dream that she wants and she won't let anyone or hard work get in her way.  I admire her determination and just plain spunk.  She doesn't let her mistakes define her.
Cole Evans had a troubled childhood that leaves him full of guilt.  He's handsome and has a good heart.  Cole has a dream, but his dream is about helping others.  He wants to make a difference in the lives of people who grew up a lot like him.  Hard work doesn't scare him and he has the dedication to see his dream become a reality.  I like him and his protective instincts.
Ms. Hunter brings us a sweet, clean romance that will have you laughing one minute and almost in tears the next.  She weaves words together to bring her characters to life and the use of real life dialogue pull the reader into the story.  The story revolves around insecurities, guilt, trust, faith and most importantly love.  I would recommend this book to anyone.  I received this book from Netgalley for a honest opinion without bias which is stated above.
