Elizabeth Heiter has written another hit. She brings us a gripping FBI thriller that will not only keep the reader on the edge of their seat, but also turning the pages. She brings us the strong character of Evelyn Baine who works as a profiler for the FBI in the Behavior Analysis Unit. As a profiler she has to crawl in the minds of serial killers, arsonists, bomb-makers,child abductors and terrorists. She has been haunted for years by the disappearance of her best friend, Cassie, when she was 1 Elizabeth Heiter has written another hit. When Evelyn is alerted to the fact another 12 year old girl from her hometown has gone missing she knows she must return to the one place she has sworn never to return to. As expected no one throws out the welcome mat for the FBI nor Evelyn. When the second little girl goes missing it's obvious this is s serial adductor they're dealing with, but all evidence points to it being the same person who abducted Cassie. Evelyn must not only solve this case before another child goes missing, but she must deal with her own personal issues of being back in town. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to read suspense or mystery. This is the second book in this series, but it's easily a stand alone story. I received this book from the author, as stated above, for a honest and unbiased opinion.
