The House At Homecoming Cove

Seeking out solitude in which to work, New York City music composer Melissa Carter rents a century-old farmhouse on the Virginia Eastern Shore. There, she meets a loner with rugged good looks and smoldering gray eyes, who has long-term ties to the property. When strange things start occurring at the historic home, the handsome groundskeeper comes to her aid, but is Melissa really safer in his arms?

When Stone Thomas meets a pretty northerner with a musical gift, he's immediately drawn to her. He's also determined to protect her from the increasingly odd happenings at the fifty-acre farm where he's employed. Soon, Stone finds himself wondering whether he and beautiful Melissa might share a future. Yet the secrets of Homecoming Cove threaten to drive them apart.

Wow!!!
I absolutely loved this book!
What a wonderful romance with a little twist.
Both the characters and setting are detailed and perceptive.
I would love to live at Homecoming Come and let's not begin with Stone, because he's positively swoon worthy.
The author describes The House on Homecoming Cove so vividly that the first few pages immediately drew me into the story.
Melissa is a music composer from NY city and some would say she is experiencing burn out, but I choose to believe she needs a new perspective on life.  She is looking to rent a house for a month to work on her music.  Upon her arrival she meets Stone Thomas the grounds keeper, but feels she knows him already. The first morning she meets Captain Jack and learns the history of the house and property.  It's a sad tale of lost love at the turn of the century.  Feeling inspired as never before Melissa makes great head way on her composing, but odd occurrences start plaguing not only her, but also Stone.  Their friendship is conveyed in a very genuine way, but suddenly realize their feelings have developed into something much deeper than a mere friendship.   Stone and Melissa must deal with the past before having a future.
Strong, well developed characters that find things more complicated than they ever imagined.
A must read.
This is the third installment in her Romantic Ghost Stories, but this is a stand alone story. This book is full of romance and suspense. The plot flows effortlessly and will keep the reader's attention. As with all her books, this is a clean, feel good romance.
I would recommend it to anyone.

*I received this book from the author for a honest opinion, as stated above, without bias or outside influence.  All opinions are my own.

From the time that she could talk, romance author Ginny Baird was making up stories, much to the delight -- and consternation -- of her family and friends. By grade school, she'd turned that inclination into a talent, whereby her teacher allowed her to write and produce plays, rather than write boring book reports. Ginny continued writing throughout college, where she contributed articles to her literary campus weekly, then later pursued a career managing international projects with the US State Department.
Ginny's held an assortment of jobs, including school teacher, freelance fashion model, and greeting card writer, and has published over twenty works of fiction and optioned ten screenplays. She's additionally published nonfiction and poetry, and admits to being a true romantic at heart.
She's a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), the RWA Published Authors Network (PAN), and Novelists, Inc. (NINC). When she's not writing, Ginny enjoys cooking, biking, and spending time with her family in Tidewater, Virginia.
