Book Description

Home to a Cowboy
In a split second, a tragic accident ends Kathleen Somers's ballet career. Her dreams shattered, she returns home to the Soaring S ranch…and her first love. Suddenly the local veterinarian, Dr. Nate Sterling, goes from her ex to her champion. With the help of a lively poodle therapy dog, the cowboy vet sets out to challenge Kathleen's strength and heal her heart. He'll show her there's life beyond dance, even if it means she leaves town again. But maybe, just maybe, he'll convince her there's only one thing in life worth having…and he's standing right in front of her.
Caring Canines: Loving and loyal, these dogs mend hearts.

My Review

Margaret Daley brings us an inspirational romance.  I always know this author brings a great story, but the message of the story is something that touches my heart.  This story will take the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride.  She introduces us to Kathleen Somers who has returned home to Oklahoma after an accident has derailed her career.  she has come home to a safe place to not only heal physical, but also emotionally.  Since she was 5 years old her dream has always been to dance professionally and just when she's on the top of her career suddenly finds her career over with.
Nate Sterling, a local vet, has never gotten over Kit, aka Kathleen.  After their relationship ended years ago Nate had tried to forgive and forget, but forgiving came much quicker than forgetting.  Behavior patterns are easily resumed, even after years of separation.  Upon finding out the extent of Kathleen's injuries, Nate vows to help her with the recovery process but plans to keep their relationship as only friends.
Kathleen must face the fact she will never dance again and figure out what to do with her life now, but at the same time she has to learn how to live with her physical limitations.  Nate becomes far more involved than he had planned on and is now worried that Kathleen will again choose dance over a life with him.
A wonderfully written story I would recommend to anyone about lost dreams, finding hope, love and a renewed connection with God. I received this book as a gift from the author for an honest review free of bias or outside influence.
